报告人: Paul Weckler教授
Dr. Weckler is a licensed, professional engineer with over thirty years of experience in agricultural engineering. He is currently a Professor of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Oklahoma State University and has been a faculty advisor for the OSU student chapter of Engineers Without Borders (OSU-EWB) since 2009. His responsibilities include: teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses (including the capstone senior design project courses), and conducting interdisciplinary research and development in the area of agricultural machinery, food & crop processing, and irrigation.
Dr. Weckler has won several teaching and research awards and his student project teams have won awards at the state and national level. His international experience includes supervising OSU-EWB engineering work in Honduras and Guatemala, teaching and performing agricultural feasibility studies in Mongolia, as well as spending five months in China teaching and conducting research. Prior to joining OSU in 2000, Dr. Weckler had a joint appointment as an Assistant Professor in the BioResource & Agricultural. Engineering Department and the Food Science & Nutrition Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA. Before joining Cal Poly, Dr. Weckler spent seven years as a project engineer in private industry after completion of his Ph.D.
